Real-time Translation Procedure
Below is an example of the process for real-time translation from "English" to "Japanese".
1. Click the "Microphone button" at the top right of the home screen.
2. On the real-time transcription upload screen, select "Transcription Language" and "Simultaneous Translation Language," then click "Start Recording."
In this example, we want to translate "English" conversations to "Japanese," so we set Transcription Language: English, Simultaneous Translation Language: Japanese.
If you set "Simultaneous Translation Language" to "None," you can perform real-time transcription without translation as before.
3. When recording begins, transcription and translation happen in real-time.
The transcription screen on the right side displays the transcription results in the spoken language (in this case, "English").
The AI Editor on the left side displays the language selected for simultaneous translation (in this case, "Japanese").
Setting Translation Language Options
The language options displayed for translation are linked to the transcription language settings.
To set translation language options, open the "Transcription Language Settings" screen from the global menu "Settings" > "Transcription Language." Enable the necessary languages (move the slider on the right side of the language name to the right, turning it orange 🟠), and the specified languages will appear in the translation language options.
Microphone Mark and Internal Audio Settings
Microphone Settings:
Microphone only checked: This setting captures only the voice from the configured microphone. Voices spoken around the microphone will be used for the translation feature.
Internal Audio Settings:
Internal audio also checked: When this setting is enabled, you can also capture audio within the same window. For example, if you play a video during screen sharing, this audio can also be included in the translation. (※ Always enable the microphone mark when using internal audio.)
Use Cases:
For online meetings:
When launching an online meeting in the app: Use the microphone speaker and start with only the microphone mark checked.
When launching an online meeting in a browser: You can capture audio with the internal audio setting. Start with the internal audio option also checked.
